Fritters (Orange)

Instructions

  1. Mix with eight ounces of flour two ounces of butter, then add one pint of water, then the whites of two eggs, to make a batter.
  2. Peel three large oranges, cut them across and take out the seeds, then cut in slices.
  3. Dip each slice into the thick batter and fry. Serve with sugar.
  4. Slices of cold plum pudding fried in batter in this way make delicious fritters.
