Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Cut the mutton into small pieces and place in a stewing-pot with two onions cut small.
  2. Let the meat and onion fry to a nice brown over a rather quick fire, taking care not to burn them.
  3. Take one dozen or more large tomatoes, cut in slices or pass through a mincing machine.
  4. If the tomatoes are not quite ripe, add a teaspoonful of sugar, then add salt and a small piece of red chilli.
  5. Add the tomatoes to the meat and let the mixture stew gently.
  6. If the mixture is watery, remove the lid of the pot until there is a rich thick gravy.
