Pudding (Tomato and Meat)

Instructions

  1. Cover the bottom of a dish with bread-crumbs.
  2. Put on this a layer of underdone meat cut in thin slices, sprinkled with pepper, salt, and a little onion.
  3. Then a layer of ripe tomatoes, peeled and sliced, an even teaspoonful of brown sugar, and a few pats of butter.
  4. Repeat this till the dish is full, and lastly a layer of bread-crumbs.
  5. Bake a nice brown. The meat can be minced if preferred.
