A cheap seed Cake

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Rub one pound sugar and half an ounce allspice into four quarts flour.
  2. Melt one pound butter in one pint milk and pour into the flour.
  3. Add nine eggs and one gill emptins.
  4. Add carroway seed and currants, or raisins, if you please.
  5. Make into two loaves.
  6. Bake one and a half hours.
