Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Take the weight of the currants in sugar and pick out the seeds.
  2. Melt a pound of sugar with half a pint of water.
  3. Put in the currants and cook very leisurely, skimming them, then take them up.
  4. Let the syrup boil, then return the currants.
  5. When they are clear and the syrup thick enough, take them off.
  6. When cold, put up in glasses.
