Apple Pudding

Ingredients
- 1 pound apple
- 1 pound sugar
- 9 eggs
- 1/4 pound butter
- 1 quart sweet cream
- 1 gill rose-water
- cinnamon
- green lemon peel
- 1/2 lemon
- paste (No. 7)
Instructions
- Combine 1 pound sifted apple, 1 pound sugar, 9 eggs, 1/4 pound butter, 1 quart sweet cream, 1 gill rose-water and a cinnamon.
- If using sweet apples, add grated green lemon peel and the juice of half a lemon.
- Put onto paste No. 7; currants, raisins and citron may be added but are not necessary.
