To preserve Plumbs

Ingredients
- plums
- sugar
- 1 pint water
Instructions
- Take plums before they form stones, testing by putting a pin through them.
- Coddle them in many waters until as green as grass.
- Peel them and coddle again.
- Take their weight in sugar and a pint of water, then add the plums.
- Boil slowly until clear, skimming often, and they will be very green.
- Put up in glasses and keep for use.
