Ingredients
- 1 quart milk
- 0.5 ounce isinglass
- 1 handful almonds, beaten
- 2–3 bitter almonds
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 piece lemon peel
- 4 ounces white sugar
- strawberry juice (fresh)
Instructions
- Heat the milk with the isinglass, beaten almonds, bitter almonds, bay leaves, and lemon peel until the isinglass is fully dissolved. Strain the milk into a basin through a fine sieve. Sweeten with white sugar. Pour into a mould and allow to set. If desired, the juice of fresh strawberries may be added for flavour.
