Uwo Shiru (Fish Soup)

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Fry the pork pieces until golden brown.
  2. Wash the fish, remove all bones, and chop into small pieces.
  3. Add the fish to the pork and fry for a few minutes.
  4. Clean and grate all the vegetables and put them into the pot along with the syou and cooking juice, salt, pepper, and spices.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Mix the miso paste with one and a half pints of boiling water.
  7. Add the miso mixture to the pot and stir well together.
  8. Boil for one hour, adding boiling water as needed if it cooks away.
  9. Strain into soup bowls.
  10. Serve with slices of hard-boiled eggs, sprinkled with chopped parsley and grated ham.
