Chinese Pickled Yellow Turnips

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Cut the turnips into thin slices.
  2. Cut each slice into narrow strips until they resemble strands.
  3. Place the turnip strands in a bowl.
  4. Pour two cupfuls of vinegar over the turnips.
  5. Add a dash of cayenne, a quarter clove of garlic, two teaspoonfuls of salt, and one teaspoonful of ginger.
  6. Let stand for twenty-four hours before serving.
