Chinese Pickled Yellow Turnips

Ingredients
- yellow turnips
- 2 cups vinegar
- dash cayenne
- 0.25 clove garlic
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon ginger
Instructions
- Cut the turnips into thin slices.
- Cut each slice into narrow strips until they resemble strands.
- Place the turnip strands in a bowl.
- Pour two cupfuls of vinegar over the turnips.
- Add a dash of cayenne, a quarter clove of garlic, two teaspoonfuls of salt, and one teaspoonful of ginger.
- Let stand for twenty-four hours before serving.
