Instructions

  1. Combine equal quantities of bread crumbs, finely chopped apples, currants, and shred suet.
  2. Sweeten the mixture with brown sugar.
  3. Add the eggs, a little brandy, grated nutmeg, and lemon peel.
  4. Mix all together thoroughly.
  5. Transfer to a round mould.
  6. Boil for one to two hours, depending on the size of the pudding.
