Yeast Dough That Rises in Cold Water

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Evening: dissolve yeast in warm water with 2 tsp flour (~1/2 stakan) and leave overnight.
  2. Morning: add milk, melted butter, flour, eggs, sugar and salt; beat about an hour.
  3. Tie in a cloth and submerge in cold water; when it floats, beat down.
  4. Fill the pirog, let rise, glaze with egg, dust with rusk crumbs, bake 1/2-1 hour.
