Drop Cakes

Ingredients

• 1 pound flour
• 1 pound butter
• 1 pound sugar
• 1 pound currants
• 2 eggs
• orange flower-water
• white wine

Instructions

1. Mix together the flour, butter, sugar, and currants. Make these into a paste with a couple of eggs. Add a little orange flower-water and a little white wine. If the paste appears too thin when two whole eggs are used, omit the white of one egg (use yolk only). Drop the mixture by spoonfuls onto a tin plate and bake.
