Gum Lu (Golden Cakes)

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cupfuls rice flour
- 1 cupful honey
- 1/4 cupful mixed nuts
- 3 teaspoons clarified goose fat
- 2 eggs
- salt
Instructions
- Take one and one half cupfuls of rice flour and a pinch of salt, and work into this three teaspoonfuls of clarified goose fat.
- Chop very fine about a quarter of a cup of minced nuts.
- Beat the yolks of two eggs and mix all together.
- Pour in one cup of raw, dark honey.
- If the mixture is too moist, add more flour.
- Stir thoroughly for fifteen or twenty minutes.
- Pour into small cake pans, well oiled, and bake slowly for two hours.
