Curry Shrimps
Origin: India (South and coastal regions), with secondary stronghold in Bengal

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoonful olive oil
- 1.5 teaspoonfuls curry powder
- 1 tablespoonful syou
- 1 cupful boiling water
- 1 tablespoonful rice flour
- 1 teaspoonful salt
- cayenne pepper
- 1.5 pounds boiled shrimps
Instructions
- Fry the chopped onion in one tablespoonful of pure olive oil to a light brown color.
- Mix one and one half teaspoonfuls of curry powder with a little cold water to make a smooth paste, and stir it into the onion.
- Add a tablespoonful of syou, a cupful of boiling water, a teaspoonful of salt, and a dash of cayenne pepper.
- Dust with rice flour, stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Add the flaked boiled shrimps (or cooked white fish if preferred) and simmer for five minutes.
- Serve with rice.
