A Plain Bola

Ingredients
- 0.75 pound white sugar
- 0.75 pound fresh butter
- 2 whole eggs
- 1.5 pound flour
- 3 spoonful yeast
- milk
- 2 ounce citron
- powdered sugar
- cinnamon
Instructions
- Combine the white sugar and fresh butter. Beat in the eggs. Mix in the flour, yeast, and a little milk to form a light paste. Fold in the citron, cut thin.
- Transfer the batter into a tin (or into small tins or cups, as preferred). Before baking, strew powdered sugar and cinnamon over the surface. Bake until golden.
